The pinkish juice of her grapefruit ran down Julia's chin and landed on her khaki shorts. Her orange kitten, Tangelo, was playing in front of her. She was batting around the grapefruit seeds Julia had spit out. Julia felt another hard bitter seed on her tounge and spit it out as far as she could. It landed over the ledge of the porch. She got up off the hot plastic table to see how far the white seed had flown. Instead she saw a boy about her age with brown hair and eyes as green as hers that made her headrt flutter looking back at her. He didnt say, "Hey watch it!" or anything. Celery Green EyesThe celery green eyes were staring at him again. It was his move. He was always nervous when he played this game. Especially with this particular girl. He was always afriad that he would make what his older "more mature" brother called a sucide move. Wouldshe notice if he cheated? Well hopefully not because that was exactly what he was about to do.He did what he had to do to survive a suicide or an attack. Heslyly distracted the eyes and thats when he made his move.
